Lectures on Noncommutative Geometry

چکیده
These Lectures are based on a course on noncommutative geometry given by the author in 2003. The lectures contain some standard material, such as Poisson and Gerstenhaber algebras, deformations, Hochschild cohomology, Serre functors, etc. We also discuss many less known as well as some new results such as noncommutative Chern-Weil theory, noncommutative symplectic geometry, noncommutative differential forms and double-tangent bundles.

Komaba Lectures on Noncommutative Solitons and D-Branes
These lectures provide an introduction to noncommutative geometry and its origins in quantum mechanics and to the construction of solitons in noncommutative field theory. These ideas are applied to the construction of D-branes as solitons of the tachyon field in noncommutative open string theory. A brief discussion is given of the K-theory classification of D-brane charge in terms of the K-theo...
متن کاملMsri Graduate Workshop: Lecture Notes for Course on Noncommutative Projective Geometry
These notes contain the material about noncommutative projective algebraic geometry that the author lectured on at the graduate workshop in June 2012 at MSRI. The notes generally contain everything covered in the lectures but may contain more than we are able to say in the lectures. Still, there are many facts we assume without proof in the lectures and for length reasons we generally do not pu...
متن کاملAnomalies and Noncommutative Index Theory
These lectures are devoted to a description of anomalies in quantum field theory from the point of view of noncommutative geometry and topology. We will in particular introduce the basic methods of cyclic cohomology and explain the noncommutative counterparts of the Atiyah-Singer index theorem.
متن کاملNoncommutative Geometry and Quantization
The purpose of these lectures is to survey several aspects of noncommutative geometry, with emphasis on its applicability to particle physics and quantum field theory. By now, it is a commonplace statement that spacetime at short length —or high energy— scales is not the Cartesian continuum of macroscopic experience, and that older methods of working with functions on manifolds must be rethough...
متن کاملTopics in Noncommutative Algebraic Geometry, Homological Algebra and K-theory
This text is based on my lectures delivered at the School on Algebraic K-Theory and Applications which took place at the International Center for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) in Trieste during the last two weeks of May of 2007. It might be regarded as an introduction to some basic facts of noncommutative algebraic geometry and the related chapters of homological algebra and (as a part of it) a no...
